Allegations Of Animal Abuse Pile Up For Proprietor Of Cellular Pet Salon In San Jose
Rachel Murphy was deeply upset by the horrific experience his five pound dog Toto went through over the weekend. According to Rachel , a groomer allegedly taped Toto r's mouth shut after being bitten, resulting in the dog being bloody and distressed.
Rachel said, "My pup was clearly in distress. What I initially believed was a mask turned out be tape. Toto r's paws were visibly red and injured, with the toenails cut too close to the paw, which likely provoked his biting reaction."
Wow! My Dog - a mobile salon for pets - employed the groomer to perform these actions.
Rachel rushed Toto to a veterinarian immediately for medical treatment. In joining other individuals who have also made similar claims, he has accused Wow! My Dog of animal abuse. San Mateo's Office has now launched an animal cruelty investigation into Wow! My Dog.
Rachel described his observations, saying "I saw wounds in the genital, neck, and near the joints." The wounds were so severe they caused bleeding."
Marianna De las Vegas is a Wow! My Dog customer who posted a Yelp Review about his pet being returned injured or ill. A Snapchat video captured by a customer showed a dog with obvious pain. He claimed that the groomer had forcedly inserted a towel into its ear.
Bad Review
In addition to the damning Yelp reviews, Wow! My Dog wants customers to be aware of what the groomer told him, as someone they had entrusted with their pets' well-being. Rachel stated, "Juliann informed to me that the use of tape to close the mouth is animal abuse bills acceptable and normal. He claims it is preferred to using a mute, which is harmful to dogs. He also mentioned that he personally uses this method on his own dogs."
Gate News called Wow! My Dog, and she answered but immediately handed the phone to a female who said they were investigating these allegations. But when Puppy was brought up, she said it was a different entity and ended the call abruptly.
